 Opening Teams

At the end of the 2025 season, our team sat down and set ourselves  community goals. We wanted  to have something to work towards, even if we weren't sure if the numbers we chose were even possible.
Our goal was to open three FRC teams during the year.

We thought we wouldn't be able to do it. FRC is a program that we believe in, but is much harder to bring to new places, because of its demanding nature.

But, we suprised outselves. We managed to open 5 FRC teams over the course of the year.

1. Sunrise #11332

Sunrise was a team we opened on  September, 2025, as a part of a bigger project of making FIRST a more common program in Ramat Gan. The team, which operates under Begin High School, is mentored  by us weekly. This year we mentored them for over 60 hours!
We also held a training day at our workshop, where we spent a full day teaching them the process of engineering, modeling, and so much more!

2. Neon #11471

This team began with an unveiling of the FRC program in Oranit, a small settlement in the terretories.  This  was a joint effort with other teams such as Steampunk #1577, Skynet #4416,  Krono #10935 and The Joker #4320. The purpose was to expose the students to FIRST, and recruit those interested, as the first step in founding the team. Afterwards, we invited all of the team members to our Rookies seminar, where they gained a base of knowledge in all areas that are required for a new team. Following this, we continued to follow their progress along the season through weekly calls and training from afar when needed. We're so proud of their work!

3. Habsor #11390

This year we opened team Habsor, in Nofei Habsor. Along with #2231 OnyxTronix and #5928 Metalboost, we created together an unveiling of the program, to get them to know more teams in the community and really see what this program demands. We've participated in 23  weekly mentoring calls with team members and mentors alike, which eventually sums up to 61 hours of support, guidance and training. Additionally, they participated in our Rookies Seminar, where they spent two days learning everything a rookie team should learn– mechanics, coding, electronics and everything else.

4. EXODUS #11480

The opening of team Exodus was through joint effort with team #2231, OnyxTronix from Shoham.  The team operates in Yeshiva  Tzvia Elyashiv, Lod.  After the team was up and running, we wished to give them as many trainings and tools as we could, To help them enter the world of FRC and grasp a better understanding of how to manage a robotics team during a season.  So, we recruited teams such as Excalibur #6738, Spikes #2212 and OnyxTronix to give them as many perspectives and different points of view for their training. We've taught them of deadlines, planning, electronics and media. On top of that, we held weekly status meetings to track their progress, assist in any issues that pop up in real time and make sure the team gains independence.

5. Nexus #11480

We went to Kfar Kasem to introduce FIRST to the community, and thanks to the students interest, we ended up opening a team! Since then, we've been assisting the group from afar– online meetings, and fluid communication with the team’s mentor. In the process of founding the team, its mentors arrived to a tour in our workspace and were shown different processes in planning and building of a robotics team. Before opening the team and weaving it into the FRC community, the team members of Kfar Kasim went out to present the FTC program to students, which led to the opening of two new teams.

This is just shows how much we can do if we put our minds to it. We can't wait to see what will come of this season's goals
