Green Start Academy 

Seeking to improve our impact on our community, we formed a startup crew in our team, aimed to bring our ideas to life. Soon after, we decided to go big - and form GreenStart Academy, a technological academy in our school, where teens reinvent teaching.

As of today, GSA consists of 250 students who learn STEM-related courses with our team members as their mentors, and participate in our startup school. Our students learn to initiate, develop and work on their ideas, making their dreams a reality and competing on an international level. Just last year (2019), two of our startup teams won the UCLA startup championship, and two others got the first two places in the computer science division of the Beijing youth science competition and the 1st place in the medicine division.

Through GSA, we revolutionized our school, giving more students an opportunity to develop, and overall, changing HaKfar HaYarok from an agricultural school to a technological greenhouse.
