We saw the opportunity to take part in a social project in the distressed neighborhood of Yoseftal, Petah Tikva, we decided to take it one step further and start an FRC team, knowing that it will truly change their world. We went from door to door, convincing kids to join the project. Over the next year and a half, we worked with them on a weekly basis, including during build season, sourcing them full funding.

 

Once we started team MetalBoost #5928, they immediately began changing their surroundings by initiating community projects and starting more than 15 FLL teams, working with dozens of teens and exposing them to STEM. We witnessed our vision come true the moment two of their captains won a FIRST  Israel scholarship to the Technion.

 

We managed to change a distressed neighborhood through FIRST.
