Vietnam 

In 2016, a group of Vietnamese reporters came to our workshop along with the Israeli ambassador in Vietnam to do a piece about Israel as a start-up nation. Through that, we got in touch with the embassy and got their support on the Vietnam project.
Our goal is to open an FTC league in Vietnam.

Simple on paper, in real life though, not so much. For the last seven years, we’ve been doing that through yearly summer seminars where we bring Vietnamese high-school students to Israel and teach them the basics of having a robotics team - from mechanical design to managing team members - through a specialized mechanical challenge we designed. The results are clear and very, very promising.

We brought on FRC team CyberKnights #4911 and with their help, we opened the first-ever teams in Vietnam; GreenAms #6520 and #6521 FPT! It took a lot of hard work and little sleep, but we believe we’re on the right path and that in a few years’ time we could start a FTC regional in Vietnam.

Last year, Vietnam was under lockdown and they couldn’t compete, so we organized the first international off-season competition in Israel. We mentor them and work together online daily, working on opening and training FTC teams in Vietnam.
This is an example of how “The Power To Inspire” transcends borders, and even if it’s 7,000 kilometers away, we can paint it green.
